Studio Sunday

Happy Birthday Dad!!! We had a great family get together to celebrate my father's birthday today. Everyone was happy and the sun was out with warm temperatures and it couldn't have worked out better! The crocus were in bloom and I am psyched for spring! Before you know it, everything will turn from brown/gray to fresh green with blooming flowers everywhere. I cannot wait!!!

I didn't get a lot of time in the studio this weekend but enough to add to my digital monoprinted art quilts. I have made a few minis and I plan on mounting them on some cute little 5x5 pre-painted canvases that I picked up at Michael's for $1 each. I am super motivated to submit more work as soon as possible on the heels of this month's publications. It's hand work all the way this week!

Here is one of the mini digital monoprints that is printed to fabric and ready to go. I wasn't sure I liked it when I first blended all my layers in PE but it is definitely growing on me.

I have this also in a 8" size that I will make into something and will host my first "giveaway" on my blog EVER! I'm very excited about that also!! Hopefully I can start some of the stitching tonight. It helps when you drink an icecoffee at 6:00 p.m. and you have enough energy to burn creative fuel for at least 2 hours. Wish me luck!!
